Marine Service/Repair Technician

Position Requirements & Offering

Job Skills Requirements:

  • Diagnose vessel issues and problem solve
  • Repair vessel in a safe and efficient manner
  • Communicate with marina staff regarding parts needs and job progress
  • Accurately estimate labor time
  • Professionally and effectively use time
  • Can work in a variety of work conditions, including weather, space, and physical demands
  • Work on multiple work orders and change from job to job as timing and parts availability arise
  • Provide high-end customer service, focusing on professional output and presentation

Qualification Requirements:

  • Marine experience on boats
  • Mechanical background and aptitude
  • Highly motivated and able to work independently
  • Own basic tool setup
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Able to work in a team environment

Training and professional education opportunities are available to increase professional offerings.

Additional Requirements:

  • Available and willing to work weekends and periodic overtime as needed
  • Communicate fluently in English

Wage and Benefits:

  • 8-hour shift, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
  • Monday through Friday, with occasional overtime and weekends, year-round
  • Starting at $21/hour, varies based on experience, plus annual incentive opportunities

  • Personal Time Compensation, available after 6 months and up to 165 hours after 5 years of service
